During ‘The Tribute – Battle of the Bands 2023’, Bouke Scholten from Drenthe blew away the professional jury and almost a million viewers per episode with his flawless voice that matches the sound of Elvis Presley. Like no other, Bouke brings classics such as ‘In The Ghetto’, ‘Suspicious Minds’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ back to life. With his own It’s Now Or Never show he pays a grand tribute to The King Of Rock ‘N Roll in Ziggo Dome.

Bouke Scholten grew up in a musical family and it was soon discovered that he had a golden voice. Bouke already started performing at the age of 18 and the audience also discovered the powerful, flawless voice he possesses. As a result, his star rose quickly and he became a much sought-after artist. Bouke was a guest in four music shows on TV and that’s how the rest of the Netherlands got to know Bouke. With his golden voice he effortlessly won the RTL4 program “Waar is Elvis?” in 2009 and at the end of 2014 he was also the absolute number one on the SBS6 TV show “The Winner Takes It All”.

All Together Now

In 2019, BOUKE defeated the other candidate in an exciting final in the final of the RTL4 program ALL TOGETHER NOW! The 100-member jury voted for Bouke. Bouke sang two songs that were also released as singles: Great balls of Fire and Never gone fall in love again.

Performances and concerts

In addition to these successful victories, Bouke went into theaters with his own live band, often supplemented by his own orchestra. With his theater shows, Bouke manages to bring the audience into ecstasy time and again. Visitors who have already seen Bouke’s show are unanimously … WE WANT MORE!

He was also received with great enthusiasm at festivals. In addition to the many sold-out theaters in both Belgium and the Netherlands, Bouke was also a guest twice in a completely sold-out Ahoy as mister Las Vegas. Again with his own orchestra and live band. His voice and performance brought Bouke in 2012 and in 2017 even to Memphis (USA) where he was allowed to perform on the Graceland estate in front of a worldwide Elvis audience. Bouke can therefore be booked both SOLO, with BAND and as a THEATER show!

Music

After releasing a number of singles such as “Dreamgirl” and “For Always”, it was time for a completely new album in 2017. With the title “This is Me”, Bouke Scholten indicates that this is the direction he would like. English songs, mostly self-written, in a “rock &soul” style. From the album have appeared the hit singles “Come a little bit closer ” and “Julie “. The third single was “Turn back time” again with a great music video.

Bouke at Sun – Bouke recorded an album at legendary Sun Studio in Memphis (USA)

This special album by Bouke was named Bouke at SUN and contains 8 songs that were recorded in the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis (USA). In this studio, which opened in 1950, Elvis Presley recorded his very first single ‘That’s All Right’. Other artists who recorded here included Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison, but U2 also recorded one of their most important albums here. Last year, singer Bouke was given the opportunity to record for one evening at this unique place.
