Hi, I’m Mr. Martin, or Remco van der Schans (24-02-1989). A born musician, sports fanatic and multi-entrepreneur, I am now fully focused on my musical career.

I’ve been playing and performing since I was five years old, and in 2015 I formed the pop rock band Rascal. With our own songs and covers, we have had great success on stages on the pop circuit and at festivals. Because of the corona pandemic, we had to take a break, but I used this time to think about my future.

The result of this period is that I have been going solo as MrMartin since August 2021. With hundreds of songs in my repertoire and my raw voice, I want to introduce my music to the general public. My style of music is catchy, poppy and includes lyrics from real life, using real instruments a lot. My performances are energetic, interactive and above all: entertaining! I invite the audience to join in with my extroverted, colorful and a tad eccentric personality. It’s time for a big party!

Ever since I was young, I have wanted to touch people with my songs. I want them to enjoy themselves when they feel good and I want to help them in difficult times. I translate my personal experiences and feelings into themes that are recognizable to everyone. My songs connect and can become a precious part of someone’s life.

My songs are accessible, but never banal. I like authentic instruments, played by real musicians and backed by a juicy beat, so I can take the listener on an emotional journey. In addition to my energetic performances, I also have sensitive ballads in my repertoire

By age ten, Lauren was an IDTA Latin and Freestyle Dance Champion, winning multiple titles for England and the North East. She then trained and toured with the youth companies of ‘Northern School of Contemporary Dance’ and ‘Phoenix Dance’.

 

Lauren’s first professional job was performing as part of ‘The Radio Aire Dance Team’, giving Lauren a stadium-sized platform at every Leeds Rhinos match to enhance her performance skills. Lauren also landed a place as part of The Super League Dance Team, appearing at many televised stadium events across England.

 

Lauren went on to earn a BA HONORS DANCE DEGREE and toured as a professional dancer around the world for brands such as HYUNDAI, FIAT, ROLLS ROYCE and UNIVERSAL STUDIOS.

Lauren appeared on ITV’S ‘X FACTOR’ as one of the lead singers of the Girl Group PROJECT A reaching the last 24 and the last 6 groups at Judges houses. Judges Simon, Louis, Danni and Cheryl all praised the group for their chemical acting style and sympathy.

The band, who later changed their name to THE ULTRA GIRLS, then went on to tour with KYLIE MINOGUE on her UK Arena tour of APHRODITE LES FOLIES as the opening act. Lauren remembers; “It was a dream come true to perform in sold-out O2 arenas with such a great aspiring performer like KYLIE and I learned so many great lessons on how to be an entertainer from her and her team.”

Lauren continued to tour worldwide as a singer and Multi Tribute Artist with shows celebrating the music of some of her favorite artists such as Katy Perry, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Rihanna. Bringing all her skills and experience to every event she is a part of, Lauren has launched the successful company “SVNTEEN ENTERTAINMENT” with fellow artist Jeni Jaye.

Lauren also writes original music and is now one half of Country Music duo The Good Lies. The duo have written and released only three songs independently to date, but have already entered the iTunes Country Chart and are getting great reactions and reviews from the world of Country Music in the UK.

I’ve always been an artist and I feel blessed that I’ve been able to build my career doing the things I love to do. I have traveled the world as a Tribute Artist, hitting the stage in theaters across the UK and entertaining thousands. There’s nothing like looking around you and never taking a minute for a second.

Performing alongside some incredibly talented individuals is another reason to keep going. We enjoy working together in my co-owned production company SVNTEEN ENTERTAINMENT. We have worked together with CAT International for many years and hope to continue to do so for as long as possible.

Not only has singing been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember, but also to act in one of the UK’s most beloved ITV dramas, Emmerdale in 2017 as DC Wilson for 3 months.

The Good Lies

Daniel J Bremner and Lauren Louise Green are a country pop duo from the UK. The pair met while jamming in a studio session a few years ago and immediately realized that they were musically clicking. The following year they worked on original music and found that there was a common thread running through all of their songwriting – the unmistakable sound of country. The duo then decided to enter the studio and work on developing their sound as country pop duo “The Good Lies.”

Their debut single ‘Summer Dream’, self-released by the duo, was named track of the month by BBC West Midlands. Follow-up singles Sally and Say a Prayer have also made their mark on the UK Country iTunes Chart. The band’s music to date has been picked up by established and respected national radio stations and blogs in the UK.

The name “The Good Lies” originated from the realization that every song written by the duo had some sort of ancillary. A song can be sad but hopeful, powerful yet fragile and create their identity as a songwriting duo.

André Hazes Jr. was his sister Roxeanne’s most loyal supporter on her So You Wannabe a Popstar adventure. He didn’t think he had a singing ambition at the time. He wanted to act. Preferably in a movie.

For the album ‘Samen met Dré’ he posthumously recorded a duet with his father: ‘Thanks My Friend’. For three weeks father and son Hazes led the charts. For André Jr. this was almost unbelievable: “I am 13 years old and I already have (together with my father) a No. 1 hit!”, he said. André Jr. found out that he really enjoys singing!

In May 2008, a concert was organized in response to this CD in the Amsterdam Arena where André Jr. among other things also sang this duet with his father. “The most beautiful night of our lives”, he and his sister Roxeanne would later say about this.

In 2008 he could be seen and heard as Frank in the musical ‘Kruistocht in Spijkerbroek’, based on the book by Thea Beckman, which was awarded the Golden Granger.

André Hazes Jr. do not give up. But he also really wants to keep singing. Entertaining people is something he prefers to do.
