André Hazes Jr. was his sister Roxeanne’s most loyal supporter on her So You Wannabe a Popstar adventure. He didn’t think he had a singing ambition at the time. He wanted to act. Preferably in a movie.
For the album ‘Samen met Dré’ he posthumously recorded a duet with his father: ‘Thanks My Friend’. For three weeks father and son Hazes led the charts. For André Jr. this was almost unbelievable: “I am 13 years old and I already have (together with my father) a No. 1 hit!”, he said. André Jr. found out that he really enjoys singing!
In May 2008, a concert was organized in response to this CD in the Amsterdam Arena where André Jr. among other things also sang this duet with his father. “The most beautiful night of our lives”, he and his sister Roxeanne would later say about this.
In 2008 he could be seen and heard as Frank in the musical ‘Kruistocht in Spijkerbroek’, based on the book by Thea Beckman, which was awarded the Golden Granger.
André Hazes Jr. do not give up. But he also really wants to keep singing. Entertaining people is something he prefers to do.
